Underground optical fiber cable for power transmission

OPGW (Optical Ground Wire) is a kind of cable that comprises the dual functions of grounding and fiber optic communication. It is increasingly utilized in high-voltage transmission lines as a functional element that both safeguards the power system and allows data sharing across the. OPAC (optical power attached cable) is a type of fiber optic cable that is installed by attaching to a host conductor along overhead power lines. As a leading manufacturer of end-to-end fiber optic solutions, Weunion specializes in engineering. The energy management is based on an infrastructure of underground optical fiber cables (COS) connecting the transformer substation to the junction boxes mounted on electricity pylons. In extreme cold climates, cables may need to be buried at greater depths where there temperatures are colder and frost penetrates to. Uni-fibercable offers a complete portfolio of fiber optic cable, supporting hardware and compression accessories that are designed to meet the most demanding transmission and distribution environments.
