Price of National Standard Optical Cable

00 per ft depending on terrain, access, and required precision for termination. Total ≈. Typical rates range from $0. Whether you're planning a national fiber rollout or sourcing cables for enterprise infrastructure, understanding how fiber optic cable pricing works can help you budget more effectively and make better. Fiber optic cable cost per meter varies by type (single‑mode vs multi‑mode), durability, and installation conditions. 52 per foot for wholesale bulk purchases, or $1 to $6 per foot at retail. The wide price range reflects differences in fiber strand. The answer is usually in the chemistry. Here is where the “price gap” actually comes from: In 2025, almost every serious project spec requires LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) for safety. Main cost drivers include cable grade (indoor vs outdoor, armoured), distance, and labor for trenching, splicing, and termination. This guide presents ranges in USD and practical price estimates to help.
