Price of Galvanized Double-Layer Cable Trays

Double-layer galvanized cable trays typically range from $50 to $200 per 2. 4–3 meter section, depending on size, duty rating, and finish.

Pricing Overview

The cost of double-layer or ladder-type galvanized cable trays depends on several factors: Material and Finish: Hot-dip galvanized trays are more corrosion-resistant and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, generally costing more than pre-galvanized steel trays. Length and Width: Standard lengths are usually 2. 4 meters or 3 meters, with widths ranging from 50mm to 600mm.

Wider trays or longer sections increase the price. Duty Rating: Light, medium, and heavy-duty trays differ in load capacity. Heavy-duty trays designed for industrial or high-density cabling environments are priced higher.

Accessories: Couplers, bends, tees, and lids are sold separately and can add to the overall cost. Estimated Price RangeMedium-duty double-layer galvanized trays: Approximately $50–$100 per 2. 4-meter section.

Heavy-duty double-layer trays: Approximately $120–$200 per 2. 4–3 meter section, depending on width and thickness. Fittings and accessories: Straight couplers, bends, and risers typically range from $5 to $30 per piece, depending on size and material.

Purchasing Options

Direct suppliers: Companies like Direct Channel and EAE Electric offer a wide range of galvanized cable trays with customizable lengths and duty ratings. Online marketplaces: Platforms like eBay UK provide competitive pricing and delivery options for galvanized cable trays, though specifications may vary. Custom orders: For industrial or large-scale projects, trays can be manufactured in longer lengths (up to 6 meters) or with specific load capacities, which may affect pricing.

Key Considerations

When budgeting for double-layer galvanized cable trays, consider: Environmental exposure: Hot-dip galvanized trays are preferred for outdoor or high-humidity environments. Load requirements: Ensure the tray duty rating matches the cable weight and density. Installation accessories: Include couplers, bends, and risers in the total cost estimate.

By factoring in these variables, you can estimate the total cost for a project using double-layer galvanized cable trays accurately.
