Fiber optic cable model GYDTA

GYTA is a stranded loose tube, aluminum tape-armored fiber optic cable designed for high-performance, long-distance communication in both duct and aerial installations.

Construction and Design

The GYT

A cable features a stranded loose tube structure, where optical fibers are housed in high-strength loose tubes filled with water-blocking compounds. These tubes are stranded around a central strength member, typically made of steel or FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic), providing mechanical stability and flexibility for long-distance deployment. The cable is armored with laminated aluminum tape, offering protection against moisture, rodents, and mechanical stress, and is covered with a polyethylene (PE) outer sheath for UV and chemical resistance.

This design ensures durability in harsh outdoor environments. Fiber Types and CapacityGYTA cables typically use G. 652D single-mode fibers, which are suitable for high-speed data transmission over long distances.

The fiber count ranges from 2 to 144 cores, allowing scalability for backbone networks, metropolitan area networks (MANs), and access networks. Color coding of fibers and tubes follows standard sequences (TIA/EIA-598 or YD/T) for easy identification during installation. ApplicationsGYTA cables are versatile and can be used for: LAN and WAN backbonesTelecom access linesFiber to the building (FTTB) and fiber to the home (FTTH)Long-haul communication in ducts or aerial lashing scenarios Performance FeaturesMoisture and crush resistance: The aluminum tape armor and water-blocking materials protect fibers from environmental hazards.

Mechanical strength: Central strength member and armored layers provide resistance to tension, bending, and crushing during installation and operation.

Temperature and U

V resistance: PE outer sheath ensures stability under varying temperatures and sunlight exposure. Compact design: Smaller loose tube diameters allow higher fiber density in ducts, optimizing space usage. Installation ConsiderationsGYTA cables are non-self-supporting, primarily intended for duct installation, but can also be used in aerial lashing with proper support.

Standard drum lengths range from 2,000 to 4,000 meters, with at least 96% usable cable length per drum. Proper handling during installation is essential to maintain fiber integrity and performance.

Summary

The GYT

A fiber optic cable is a robust, armored, and high-performance solution for outdoor fiber optic networks. Its stranded loose tube design, aluminum tape armor, and PE sheath make it suitable for long-distance, high-speed communication in both duct and aerial environments, while supporting a wide range of fiber counts and ensuring reliability under harsh conditions.
